OPE is holding it’s very first Palestinian cultural-food experience! Join us on October 21st, Monday for a grape leaves rolling lesson/gathering. In Palestine, women invite their friends and family members to help them roll grape leaves for dinners, celebrations etc.
Invite a friend, your family member or come and meet new people while learning the basics of making warak inib (grape leaves) Palestinian-style. And if you have experience, then just come to hang out and fill your pot alongside good company. All the ingredients will be provided, as well as tea w/mint (lunch or dinner depending on your time slot) as we roll, eat, drink & chat. Grape leaves will be vegan, filled with herbs, tomatoes, onions, garlic, spices, olive oil and rice!
All you have to bring is an 8-10 inch pot about six inches deep. You will go home with a pot of grape leaves YOU rolled, new friends and a GIFT! Hope you decide to join us, this is going to be fun!
